Mr. Aycock distinguished himself as a club professional and competitive golfer throughout his career. He holds the distinction of winning the Southern Texas PGA Section Championship six times, in four different decades. In light of this achievement, the Southern Texas PGA has named a trophy awarded to its Annual Champion the “Tommy Aycock Trophy.” Aycock put an exclamation point on his career after turning fifty when he qualified for the Senior PGA Tour and enjoyed several years of success.
