Cameron Doan, PGA, is the director of golf at Preston Trail Golf Club in Dallas. He has been a member of the PGA since 1994 and, at 27, was named head professional at El Paso Country Club, learning the ropes from Bill Eschenbrenner, a Texas Golf Hall of Fame member, Class of 2010.

Doan started volunteering with the Northern Texas PGA in 1999 and currently serves on the NTPGA’s Board of Directors as the 31st President. He has been a PGA Member since 1994 and has spent over 26 years in the Northern Texas Section at Preston Trail Golf Club.

A main focus of Doan’s is to mentor his staff and other young golf professionals. He takes pride in having employees advance to roles at other clubs as Head Professionals and Directors of Golf, with 14 and counting who have transitioned into leadership positions. In 2018, Doan received the PGA of America’s Bill Strausbaugh award for his commitment to his leadership role and responsibility to help the next generation of young professionals advance their careers and deliver required performance outcomes.

Doan has been on Golf Digest's list of the Best Teachers in Texas 24 times and, most recently, was named the recipient of the 2025 Northern Texas PGA Golf Professional of the Year Award. This is the highest honor given annually to a Northern Texas PGA Member, and is awarded for qualities of leadership, strong moral character, and a substantial record of service to the NTPGA as well as the game of golf.

Doan has also been an active participant in NTPGA Tournaments and holds the record for all-time Joe Black Cup appearances and points earned. He has won 13 Majors during his tenure in the Section. In 2023, he qualified to play in the Senior PGA Championship and hit the first-ever tee shot in competition at Fields Ranch at PGA Frisco.

Philanthropically, Doan is the Co-Founder of KidSwing golf tournament that benefits Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Started in 2002, the tournament has raised more than $2 million.
